REIKI

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is based on the idea that an unseen energy flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If that is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress. The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is "life force energy". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy."

Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

It is a very simple technique to learn.  Reiki attunements are given by a Reiki master and allows the student to tap into an unlimited supply of "life force energy" to improve one's health and enhance the quality of life.

REIKI HEALING AND REIKI SHARES

Reiki healing sessions are available on an individual basis.

A Reiki Share is a gathering of Reiki practitioners who meet for a combination social/healing session. A share can last anywhere from 2 to 3 hours or can be an all day event.  The primary purpose of having a "share" is for individuals to participate in giving and receiving Reiki within an atmosphere of friendship and love. Individuals interested in learning more about Reiki are welcome to attend and learn more about Reiki.  A Reiki share consists of many healing hands on one person at a time. One person lays on a table while the participating practitioners gather around that person, laying their hands upon him/her facilitating a massive flow of Reiki energies. Group energies are often very strong and can be more penetrating than individual sessions. This type of Reiki treatment is a wonderful and often profound experience!

REIKI ATTUNEMENTS

The Reiki attunement process is how you becomes a Reiki practitioner. Being attuned to Reiki gives you the ability to easily access Reiki (Universal Life Force) energy, for the purpose of healing a person or situation. Attunements can only be given by a Reiki master for either the purpose of training  in Reiki, or for s giving someone a larger experience of Reiki than that usually experienced in treatments.

There are Three Levels of Reiki Attunements

First degree

The first degree Reiki course, teaches the basic theories and procedures of Reiki. A number of "attunements" are given to the student by the teacher. Students learn hand placement positions on the recipient's body that are thought to be most conducive to the process in a whole body treatment.Having completed the first degree course, a Reiki practitioner can then treat himself and others with Reiki.

Second degree

In the second degree Reiki course the student learns the use of a number of symbols that are said to enhance the strength and distance over which Reiki can be exerted. This involves the use of symbols to form a temporary connection between the practitioner and the recipient, regardless of location and time, and then to send the Reiki energy. Another attunement is given, which is said to further increase the capacity for Reiki to flow through the student, as well as empowering the use of the symbols. Having completed the second level, the student can work without being physically present with the recipient — a practice known as "distant healing".

Third degree

Through the third degree, or "master training" the student becomes a Reiki Master. In Reiki terminology, the word "master" does not imply spiritual enlightenment, and is sometimes changed to "Master/Teacher" in order to avoid this confusion. The and the student learns a further symbol. Having completed the master training, the new Reiki Master can attune other people to Reiki and teach the three degrees.
